CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES

What goes on in the classrooms makes a major contribution to the formation of character and values among students who will go on to become salt and light in the world. However, the classroom experience is just one component of the school experience. Values and character are inculcated also through schools’ various co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities are essential in providing quality education to better prepare students for their transition into the working environment and in facing future challenges in this rapid changing world.

Co-curricular activities develop leadership, time management, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and other skills. These experiences and activities outside of the classroom are directly related to their career development in the future. In essence, the co-curricular programming promotes students participation in activities that supplement developmental goals through issue-oriented and educational programmes, and skill-building opportunities. In these settings, the students can learn a wide range of professional, leadership, and life skills.

The commitment of the school to the all round development of the child prompts it to offer the following activities to the students. They include:

LEVEL WISE MONTHLY CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Houses :

JUSCO School South Park has translated its Vision of Empowering each child to discover and achieve their potential by conducting house-wise CCA and other sports events. The five houses are based on the Panch Tatva principle.

1. Prithvi is a combination of energy, harmony and love.
2. Jal cherishes the attributes of purity, depth and agility.
3. Agni depicts power, creativity and determination.
4. Vayu is an epitome of life, freedom and imagination
5. Akash values rhythm, beauty and inner potential.

The School offers activities which empower the students to recognise their talent and to strengthen their learning through practical applications in both inside and outside the classroom, to develop the true personality of the child.
